Canada 2021 Census and more incoming!

There is an upcoming Vision update that takes place on Monday, June 24th, at 8pm (UK time) and will update the boundaries and census demographics with the 2021 Canada census data. We are also adding business data, provided by Data Axle. 

Canada Census Update

If you’re using the postal geography known as the Forward Sortation Areas (FSAs), we’ve created a file that lists any new or removed objects. In summary, there are 4 removed FSAs and 25 new ones. When carrying out the update, you must check whether any of your awarded territories are impacted by these changes. If you would like any support carrying out the update, please get in touch.

For anyone using administrative geography, these layers have more widescale changes that can’t be tracked as easily. Again, we recommend contacting us if you need help managing the update.

We're adding Canada business data

We’re working with Data Axle who offers some of the most comprehensive and accurate business and consumer databases.

These business demographics will be available to clients who subscribe to the Canada data pack in Vision. The demographics include the total number of businesses and the number of businesses banded by employees. These will be available for the latest version of the FSA geographies and any territories built from these.

We can also provide bespoke counts based on a selection of SIC codes for an additional cost. Don’t hesitate to get in touch for more information.
