Challenge
Nurses UK Group started their franchise journey and development, part of this journey was for them and their franchisees to expand their recruitment offering with more specialists. The challenge and the need for more data and analysis came about at this stage. When trying to enter a new market they needed to know what these sectors were, where they are and how well they and their franchisees can service those new sectors. After a recommendation from their consultant, we started working our magic to help with this dilemma.
Solution
Our first task, as always, was to gather as much trade data as possible. This meant plotting the location of customers, both active and inactive. Even though this isn’t necessarily representative of future franchises, it provides a realistic starting point for discussions and looking at the gap to see the room for growth.
It turns out that the nurses were travelling much further to service customers than would be typical for a franchisee. This would have likely continued to be the case for the early adopter franchisees too.
We could see how many more potential clients were in and around the areas already being covered by their nurses. It was decided that with the future franchise, due to expand, a larger portion of the market would be included in the criteria for territory creation.
Working with Nurses UK Group, we estimated the potential growth rate in the market and how many clients the business and franchisees could reasonably accommodate. This provided a final figure for the future potential of the business and network.
Results
Taking advantage of Vision’s user-friendly features, we were able to create the territory network of the future for Nurses UK Group and its franchise network.
Better still, we could also take one step back, combining these territories to create the optimum regions for today’s franchisees.
The result is a well-structured and simple-to-understand territory network with clarity for all potential franchisees. With the vision of growth, the territories can be used in different ways as the network and business grows.
