March 30, 2026
This upcoming Vision update includes the latest New Zealand geography and Census data. Alongside this are some quality-of-life improvements.
We will take Vision offline for approximately thirty minutes on Monday, 30th of March, at 9pm (UK time). That's 4pm in New York, 1pm in L.A., and Tuesday, March 31st, at 7am in Sydney. This means that all services, including the API and FYN, will be offline at these times.
Thank you for your continued support and patience.

Better Vision updates with less downtime!
This update paves the way for us to update Vision in a fraction of the time. This will mean substantially less service disruption and system downtime. They may be required from time to time, but nowhere near as frequently as before.
This does mean a slight change to when data updates become available to use. As an example, for the upcoming New Zealand update, it will not be ready on Monday, March 30th, on the day/night of the update. It will be available from Friday, the 3rd of April.
This is because we handle the importing of demographics separately, with data drip-fed into the system over the days following the initial boundary update.
New Zealand Update
This update includes the 2025 geographic boundaries. These cover both the Administrative boundaries and the Postcode boundaries.
It will also include the data from the 2023 Census. These will all be available from Friday, April 3rd (UK time).
Ireland Boundary Fixes
We're also fixing some minor boundary issues for part of Ireland as part of this update.
Bug Fix
We've also fixed a minor bug that prevented you from copying a zone area between zone layers. This is now working as intended.
